The headwinds of change are all around us in education. One may argue that it is not at a quick enough pace, but change is happening. People and institutions recognize the impact rapidly changing landscapes in industry, and society is having on our lives, along with wondering how education stays relevant.
One evolution in education is the focus on durable skills and authentic learning, paving the way for innovative programs around Iowa, including CAPS. Iowa has gone from 13 CAPS student associates to 13 CAPS programs across the state in the past five years, serving hundreds of associates each year. It's not the "What" that makes CAPS unique. The "Why" and "How" have led to fantastic stories of impact on students from Iowa CAPS programs in rural and urban settings.
